British Asian Radio Presenter Kavita Kukar is one of the industry’s up-and-coming talents, having won the 2018 Asian Media Award for Rising Star in Radio.

 

Kavita’s journey as a presenter began at Asian Star FM becoming widely recognised for revamping The Big Drive Home. For two years, she was at the helm of Lyca Radio Breakfast Show, developing a fresh new following.

 

With her passion for music, culture and identity, Kavita has been the perfect fit for presenting The Day Show on Panda Radio. Her versatility and passion for talking about topics of the day mixed with entertainment and music have seen her interview a range of people including fitness coach and author Joe Wicks, former NASA astronaut John McBride and YouTuber Jack Maynard, as well as artists such as Alexandra Burke, KT Tunstall, The Wanted and Frankie Bridge.

 

Kavita has reported live from festivals including Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight.

 

Kavita is a trained singer and regularly performs with the Brixton Real Voices Choir. She is also a foodie and advocate for equal rights.
